Training camp is upon us, the pre-season is starts on Monday, and the regular season in a mere three weeks. On opening night, the Leafs face the Habs in their first game of a season which hopefully takes them back to the playoffs for the first time in 8 years. On that opening night, 23 men will suit up in the blue and white, but who those 23 men will be has yet to be determined.
Seventy invites to Maple Leafs training camp were handed out earlier this week. Some are guaranteed a spot, such as perennial 30 goal scorer Phil Kessel. Others like Nazem Kadri and Matt Frattin are right on the cusp of playing their first full NHL season, and a good showing in camp ould be the deciding factor regarding which jersey they put on this year. Now 70 is a lot of people to sort through, and the cuts are going to be coming fast and furious over the next few days. From the Leafs presser this morning (tweeted by Mirtle) "Wilson says he'll be down to 40 players by the end of Wednesday."
This brings us to our question of the day:
Among the long shots to make the Leafs out of training camp, which player do you feel will still be around after Wednesday?
