The Leafs play at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit tonight. By the time they're finished I hope the town of Detroit is left as nothing more than a smoldering wreck. When we leave I want two points and the satisfaction of seeing a proud city reduced to de-urbanized lots. Ruin their train station. Leave their greatest hotels empty. Total warfare.
The odds are against us. The Red Wings are Cup Contenders and the Leafs are probably boned even if they win out but logic and reason have no place here. The Playoff Death Clock struck 2 o'clock last night and if it sits at 6 o'clock tomorrow morning that's probably it.
Get out your luckiest jerseys and wear them over your luckiest Leafs underoos. Tonight's going to be huge.
