Okay, it’s only been two weeks, but welcome back anyway to Frank Corrado. He has returned to the Leafs practice today after seven games in 14 days with the Toronto Marlies on a conditioning stint.
Today, Corrado practiced on a pair with the still recovering Martin Marincin.

There is no official word on when Marincin will be back, but he was reported to have skated with the Marlies while the Leafs were on their bye week, so he is seriously in rehabbing mode right now.
In other medical news, Ben Smith has been skating with the team lately as well.
He's skating. Babcock said #Leafs could really use him back. Said he gets pins out (of hand presumably) on the 19th, team goes from there https://t.co/Y4S1m0QHtx

The downside of all this health is that Josh Leivo was getting some regular practice work pretending to be a defenceman, and now he truly is the odd man out as the Leafs can run four forward lines and four defence pairs without him.
As for Corrado, he had a mostly successful stint on the Marlies. He had three assists in seven games, and shot the puck a lot. There are five players on the Marlies with fewer total shots than him who have played more games, most more than double the number. Four of them are forwards.
All reports from fans, media and his coach say that Corrado performed much better this year than last year on the Marlies. Sheldon Keefe did note that that Corrado tailed off in performance as the days wore on and the competition got better, but he also noted that Corrado was their highest minute player for most of his games.
When will he get in another game? Good question, as Mike Babcock likes to say when he has no plans to answer it.
