The signing means that the Leafs probably won't be throwing a goalie away this summer, and probably won't have to search some bottom-of-the-barrel for a backup netminder going in to the next season. The deal does expire as a UFA though, so it'll be interesting to see if the contract ends with Reimer wearing the blue and white.
