Good morning Leafs fans!
First to catch you up on the Bill Peters story, that monopolized the hockey world yesterday.
TSN is knocking it out of the park on the reporting on this one, and this video is a good place to begin as it sets the stage for this story, which isn’t done happening.

I’ll say this:

A reckoning has been waiting for hockey and its culture for a very long time.
The courage it takes people to speak up when intimidation leads to silence is immense.
Sports are great and those who poison it with hate should not be protected.
Can confirm and will add close relationships spanning decades were ruined because of Francis' decision not to fire Peters. Obviously more to come later. https://t.co/DPAhiCLGaT

Thread on a really weird situation where a goal was not called back when it should have been:
In an email, the NHL has admitted its error, acknowledging that a "missed game stoppage event occurred. Minnesota’s challenge should have resulted in the New Jersey (first) goal being disallowed."

Big mistake by league. Not only did goal make it 1-1, #mnwild had to kill PP
Bruce Boudreau on when he was notified that the Devils goal should have been disallowed: "Referee Brad (Meier) came right over at the start of the second period and apologized for the League."

This might turn into something or nothing:
Oilers have had 4-5 teams circle back over the past few days. I think Edm’s preference would be to get a forward in return they can use now. If not, forward prospect plus a draft pick. May not move him before Sunday if offers don’t improve. Feb 24 or June also options for trade https://t.co/P7eqfyvfGq
