It was only a matter of time until Mitch Marner took over a game. After registering a modest seven points in his first half dozen games this season, Marner brought his total to double digits last night (7-5-5-10).
Early in the game, Marner sent a puck down low to Matthew Tkachuk, projected top five pick in the 2016 NHL Draft, who found fellow Leafs prospect J.J. Piccinich for the easy goal. Piccinich's lone goal gave him 11 points in his first seven games in the OHL.

Then Marner really took over, with two goals from the same place to the same location, curling and firing from the left hashmarks of the right circle to the middle of the net far-side. Watch both of the impressive goals below:
