What's a sadly common phrase to hear as a Toronto Maple Leafs fan? "It was 4-1." At least it's used to mock other teams now too, but we all know where its origins lie - and it happened to the Leafs again, as they dropped a 4-1 lead to the Anaheim Ducks.
Enter: Connor Brown, who cares not for the phrase.
Brown, selected by his hometown team, was a sixth round pick from the 2012 draft. His odds of making the NHL were incredibly slim to begin with. Slim, but hardly impossible - and now, in his fourth NHL game, he has his first NHL goal. A really big one, too, tying the game at 5-5 in the dying minutes of regulation.

That's how you announce your presence to the big leagues. And what. A. Celebration.
