Who doesn’t love a good timelapse? Specifically, one in which hockey is involved?
It’s almost the end of the year, which means 2017 - and the NHL’s Centennial Classic - is just a little over a week away. Time really flies, doesn’t it?
Especially when a hockey rink is being built.
With the Toronto Maple Leafs getting set to host the Detroit Red Wings outside at BMO— er, sorry, Exhibition Stadium— they’d need a surface to play on, after all, and a field wasn’t going to cut it.
It’s fun to watch! That major snowfall right at the start, clouds passing overhead, the shadows of the stands, all those tiny people rushing around looking like ants as they set up boards and make a playing surface out of nothing - it’s all really cool to see just how much goes in to getting this game ready.
