After back-to-back wins to open the season last week, the Toronto Marlies picked up where they left off again today. After a late period Byron Froese goal, TJ Brennan capped off the 3-on-3 overtime off a nice feed from Connor Brown.
With the win, the Marlies remained undefeated and atop the North Division.
Top Leafs prospect William Nylander also picked up a goal and an assist in the win, giving him four points in his first three games of the season. Antoine Bibeau collected the win.
For the third straight game to open the season, the Marlies also heavily outshot their opponent after outshooting the Manitoba Moose 76-53 last weekend. The Marlies are back in action again tomorrow against Albany.
