Tyler Ennis left the Leafs second last game before the Christmas break in the second period, and Leafs PR announced immediately that it was an ankle injury.

Note: He’s playing wing in place of Patrick Marleau with Auston Matthews. They’ve just come out on a change on the faceoff, and you can see him almost immediately labouring, but if that was contact with Mats Zuccarello that caused it, it’s not very clear how.
The Leafs must call up someone for tomorrow night’s game against the Red Wings unless they want to see if Justin Holl still remembers how to play forward.
Ennis was on a roll on the Leafs fourth line, and that shift was not his only foray up the lineup during recent games. He has seven goals and four assists so far, playing just over 10 minutes per game.
