Yesterday was the deadline for the Leafs to make qualifying offers to their restricted free agents, or to lose their rights. As you can read below, they made offers to wingers Connor Brown and Zach Hyman, defender Justin Holl, and goaltender Garret Sparks. They elected not to make offers to RW Seth Griffith, C Sergei Kalinin, and G Antoine Bibeau. Giving up on Bibeau is the only real surprise, but it makes sense, because he isn’t very good.
