This is it. The last day before the first game. The Leafs are starting the season on the road in Montreal tomorrow at 7:00 p.m.. Is their fate in the stars, or is it in their selves, dear Berube? Will fortune favour the bold, or the foolish? We shall find out in short order.
But enough weird pseudo-Shakespearean commentary. For me, this off-season has felt way longer than normal, and I am actually so glad it's back to hockey season at game #1 and not feeling like it will be an exhausting rerun of the prior regular season. In recent seasons I've felt like "Ugh. 82 games to go to run it back...," but this season I'm really looking forward to see what happens, which... you know means it will be a disaster.
Hey, I'm a Leafs fan. You have to expect the worst, but you still always hope for the best!
Here's our opening day roster.
