Yes, David Clarkson will miss the first 10 regular season games with a suspension due to his leaving the bench to go fend off John Scott. We all knew it was coming, but now it's official. Phil Kessel will have his hearing today as per CBC, and I'm sure we'll see tweets about it as soon as it happens, so stay tuned for news on that front.
In case you missed it, Mason Raymond did, in fact, sign a one-year deal with the Leafs, which, as per David Alter (in this Leafs Nation article), is a deal worth a million dollars for one year. I haven't been able to watch many of these preseason games so far, but I'd say based on my limited viewing that ol' MayRay certainly looked good enough to play on a 3rd or 4th line.
