There are a few positives to be taken from last night's 3-2 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers. First off, James van Riemsdyk looked as good as you'd hope he would, scoring a goal and cashing in on his shootout attempt. Maybe David Clarkson didn't exactly sparkle in this one, but he made his presence felt with a couple good chances, a fight, and a shootout goal. Maybe we could call this a poor man's Gordie Howe hat trick. Jonathan Bernier only allowed one goal, and it was a tough deflection in front of him, so his work last evening is to be commended.
