PWHL Toronto couldn't sweep Minnesota last night on the road, losing both the game 0-2 and potentially Natalie Spooner, who took a hard hit in the third period and looked to be a in a lot of pain. The fact she didn't return to the game doesn't mean much since there were only a few minutes left. Hopefully we get an update on her status today ahead of Game 4 on Wednesday night. Toronto come back home on Friday for Game 5* if necessary.
Spooner lead the league in goals and points this season, and she should be on the shortlist for Forward of the Year and the BJK MVP.
Kristen Campbell's shutout streak lasted 155 minutes minutes from the last game of the regular season until the gwg in Game 3.
Carolina beat New York again to force a Game 6 in Raleigh.
Dallas had a 3-1 lead over Colorado early in the third period. If they did end up winning, they would lead the series 3-1.
What a night in the OHL. The London Knights came all the way from a four-goal deficit in the third period and eventually won the game in double overtime. That win gives London a 3-0 series lead in the OHL Finals. Cowan had three primary assists and a team-leading nine shots.
Carson Soucy got suspended one game.
Valeri Nichushkin is now in stage 3 of the player assistance program. That means he violated stages 1 and 2 of treatment. Seravalli reports he might have failed a drug test. Nichushkin was playing for Colorado in the playoffs when he was suspended. This all came after the hotel room incident in Seattle last spring.
