Good morning Toronto Maple Leafs fans!
So we got news in the missing Calle Järnkrok yesterday. He hasn't played a game yet this season, and he won't any time soon after the team announced he had double surgery, and will be checked up on every month for updates.
We're used to week to week, but month to month is, ooph.
So it's mid-November, I wouldn't expect a miracle healing before Christmas, so how does the new year look?
Well, the Cleveland Clinic says sports hernia rehabilitation can take six to twelve weeks. If we go by that, early January at the earliest, or he could possibly become a trade deadline addition.
The Leafs have been chugging along, and he hasn't played yet this season so it's a loss, but one they're already used to.
However, with multiple injuries and a suspension, the Leafs could use some forward help. Enter Fraser Minten?
How is Minten doing? Species has the news from the AHL.
Or perhaps I could offer you a Kasperi Kapanen in these trying times.
No Auston Matthews makes the Maple Leafs something something...
Five for Reaves? It's a bit much, says Berube.
Underpay and pray? Overpay and LTIR later?
Referee Mitch Dunning collided with Avalanche defender Josh Manson last night, and was taken to hospital.
A terrible collision, but he's doing as well as can be in hospital.
Here's last night's scores.
Finally, the PWHL has announced their off-site schedule for next season:
Our Toronto Scepters will be visiting:
Vancouver: January 8th vs Montréal
TBA: February 16th vs Ottawa
I love TBA in February. It's so lovely.
The PWHL season begins Saturday, November 30th at 2PM against the Boston Fleet at the Coca-Cola Coliseum
Enjoy your day everyone!
