The Anaheim Ducks acquired goalie Ville Husso from the Detroit Red Wings in what many expected to be a bigger trade that possibly included John Gibson, but that ended up being it. Husso, on a $4.75 M contract, was sent from Detroit to Anaheim for future considerations (read: free) to help the San Diego Gulls with their playoff push after their goalie went down. Husso, who many expected to be the next big thing when he was in St. Louis (ala Eric Comrie) has mostly been an AHL goalie for Detroit on a bloated contract.

I've wondered if Morgan Geekie could be available, too, as an option up the middle.

What Maple Leafs’ priorities should be heading toward the trade deadline
If you’re the Toronto Maple Leafs starting at the trade deadline, this is a winnable race. And nothing should provide them more incentive to stock up, to go in, and to prepare than a simple look around, writes Justin Bourne.
