So, Toronto sports did not exactly have the best day yesterday. Any time a team’s season ends - or another team blows a 4-0 lead - is certainly not ideal.
But there’s always a bright side, and Travis Dermott has it figured out.
Reminder that the Toronto Marlies are undefeated!
Dermott, drafted 34th overall in 2015, is already playing his first professional season in the AHL. Through the Marlies’ two games so far, he has two assists, and is already looking poised for a fine season.
It’s officially hockey season again, and while we aren’t quite at the level of excitement going to a championship series in the MLB has to offer, there’s still a lot to look forward to this year, and that includes the kids in the minors. Don’t forget how fantastic the Marlies were last year! Sports happiness still awaits.
