The AHL transactions page shows today that Taylor Dupuis has been signed to an ATO.
He is currently a member of the Ryerson Rams in the CIS, but he was formerly with the Sarnia Sting.
There has been no official announcement so it isn’t known if he is practice help, bound for the Orlando Solar Bears, or just a player they’re taking a look at.
The Solar Bears recently placed goaltender Ryan Massa on injured reserve, and traded for Jay Williams, a player they’d looked at in training camp. Orlando’s other goalie is currently Kasimir Kaskisuo, who is on an NHL contract.
Kaskisuo had a rough start to the year as the Solar Bears changed lineups frequently and then changed coaches. He’s rebounded quite a bit and has had some excellent starts.
This isn’t the first time a Ram has made it to the Leafs organization. In 2014, Troy Passingham filled in in practice for an injured Jonathan Bernier.
