This afternoon the Marlies announced they signed Cason Hohmann to a contract. The Boston University grad played last season with the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL, and also had a couple games with the AHL’s Rochester Americans.
The Arlington, TX native signed a two way deal with Rochester last season but only played 3 games with the big club, where he had no points. In 59 games with Elmira he scored 20 goals and added 37 assists for 57 points.
In four years and 145 games with Boston U. Hohmann had 32 goals, 67 points, giving him 0.62PPG. He won the Hockey East Championship with BU.
This looks like a depth signing for the Marlies, and he could end up in Toronto or down in Orlando, though the Marlies did not make his contract status available at the moment.
