A flying trip to Newfoundland and Labrador to play the IceCaps in St. John’s and surrounding area was a fun way to start the season for the Toronto Marlies. The IceCaps are now the Rocket and they play in Laval, so there’s no more fun down east.
Instead, the Marlies will play two games against the Rochester Amerks, one in Buffalo, the other in Henreitta, New York (on the campus of RIT, the launching point of many hockey players).

The games are the last weekend of September, and are back to back with travel in between — an AHL tradition! If the Leafs hold a camp similar to last year’s, the team going to Buffalo might well be mostly Solar Bears stopping off on the way south.
Ticket information and details about locations is available at the Amerks’ site.
