The Marlies open the second round of their 2016 playoff run on Wednesday, May 4 at 7:30 p.m. at Ricoh Coliseum against the Albany Devils, the affiliate of the New Jersey Devils. Game 2 goes Friday, May 6 at 7:30 p.m. as well.
If you have any questions, you can contact Marlies account executive Stephen Nixon at stephen.nixon@MLSE.com or at 416-815-2268.
The Marlies played to an AHL-best 54-16-5-1 record in the regular season and will have home ice advantage throughout the playoffs and there's a good chance you'll see more than a handful of them with the Leafs next season.
This season, the Marlies played to a 4-2 record in six games against the Devils, outscoring them 17-10 in the season series.
But Marlies head coach Sheldon Keefe isn't taking them lightly.
"We know what's coming here with the challenge from Albany," Keefe said after the Marlies' three-game step of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. "They feel they deserve to win a championship just as much as us and they got help from their NHL team just like us. We're really probably meeting them a round or two early in terms of the calibre of their club."
"We know full well that things are getting real real fast," he added, noting that most of their six-game series came under weird circumstances because they were at the end of three games in three nights or really early in the season.
