The Toronto Maple Leafs open their season Wednesday night, October 13th, against the Montreal Canadiens and there will be a full arena of fans cheering on the Leafs for the first time since they beat the Tampa Bay Lightning on March 10, 2020.

The rules set down by the government mean that MLSE will need to continue to require proof of vaccination to enter the arena, and local health regulations regarding masking will still be in place. Here are the full MLSE requirements for attending games:

Masking:
A 3-ply mask that completely and snugly covers your nose, mouth and sits securely under your chin are mandatory at all times including when sitting in the stands, unless when eating or drinking.
Note: Neck Gaiters are not permitted
Vaccinations:
We are unable to accept proof of a negative COVID-19 test for admittance (except for guests with a verified medical exemption). Children who are 11 years of age and younger will be exempted from proof of vaccine and testing requirements.
*In accordance with Ministry of Health guidance, an individual is considered fully vaccinated if they have received: (a) the full series of a COVID-19 vaccine authorized by Health Canada, or any combination of such vaccines; (b) one or two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine not authorized by Health Canada, followed by one dose of a COVID-19 mRNA vaccine authorized by Health Canada, or (c) three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine not authorized by Health Canada; and they received their final dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days before providing the proof of being fully vaccinated.

Bags:
MLSE strongly encourages fans to not bring any type of bags, but fans will be able to carry the following into MLSE events and facilities:
Small purse type bags smaller than 16.5cm x 11.5cm (6.5”x4.5”), with or without a handle or strap – small clutch bag
Fans carrying bags that do not meet the criteria WILL NOT BE PERMITTED ENTRY. If for any reason (medical or other) you require a bag that does not adhere to the bag policy, entry will be permitted subject to contacting MLSE for security inspection, including x-ray inspection of the bag and contents.
