The first game of the Maple Leafs season is tomorrow against the Winnipeg Jets, but there’s still some sawdust to clear on the final roster, and more paperwork to get in order.
The Leafs announced a first round of cuts yesterday, leaving the team with a 26 man roster. That needs to be reduced further to 23 by today at 5:00 pm.
Several players went on waivers and we will find out if they clear at noon EDT.
Some final decisions still to be made include the fates of Dominic Moore, Eric Fehr, Calle Rosen and Andreas Borgman.
Also still undecided is where Timothy Liljegren will play.
Agent for #Leafs D Timothy Liljegren says two sides are still "in talks about what makes best sense overall”.
