The Leafs have recalled goaltending prospect Antoine Bibeau from the Marlies, according to the AHL's transactions page.
Andersen missed practice yesterday due to illness, so it's likely Bibeau is up on a short-term basis to replace him. Clearly, Andersen is still too sick to play.
No Freddie Andersen at Leafs practice. Hmm

Babcock opens with, "Has anyone seen Andy?", laughs, and says Andersen should be good to go tomorrow

Andersen is sick so stayed back at hotel ... will start tomorrow, per Babcock

Bibeau has been the starting goaltender for the Marlies this season. He got off to a very hot start but has since cooled down a bit, and now has a .907 SV% in 13 games played. It's unclear why he's been looked to as the undisputed starter this season when both Jeff Glass and Sparks in limited starts but it seems clear at this point that management sees Bibeau as third on the goaltender depth chart.
Bibeau has yet to start in the NHL. Is tonight the night he makes his debut?
The Marlies are playing Hartford today. It's unclear who will start there, either.
UPDATE: Elliotte Friedman says that Bibeau's call-up is precautionary and that Andersen is still expected to play against the Canucks tonight.
TOR called up Antoine Bibeau under emergency conditions. Andersen still expected to play, but distance made it necessary to make the recall
