The Peterborough Petes are an unstoppable force to start the OHL season. Maybe it was the Memorial Centre that was holding them back this year. Perhaps they could be the first all road game team in the OHL.

Sept. 27th: vs North Bay Battalion
W 11-3 - 0G, 0A, +4
Sept. 29th: vs Kitchener Rangers
W 5-4 SO - 0G, 0A, +2
Loponen is not an offensive forward, as he comes out of an 11-3 stomping of North Bay with nary a secondary assist.
Western Hockey League

Calgary Hitmen
Sept. 27th: vs Edmonton Oil Kings
W 4-3 OT - 0G, 1A, -1
Sept. 28th: @ Red Deer Rebels
W 5-1 - 3G, 0A, +3
Sept. 29th: vs Medicine Hat Tigers
W 2-0 - No Points
Stotts is coming in hot this season, rocking a hat trick and putting himself up over a point per game early in the year.
#18 - Filip Kral (D) - No Points
Spokane Chiefs
Sept. 28th: vs Tri-City Americans
L 3-0 - No Points
Spokane finally got their first game at home, and their rivals from Kennewick spoiled the fun.
#33 - Ian Scott (G)
Prince Albert Raiders
Ian Scott spent the past week at Toronto Marlies camp, and is currently listed as injured. Hopefully it’s nothing serious.
Quebec Major Junior Hockey League
#9 - Mikhail Abramov (C/RW) - 1G, 2A, -6
Victoriaville Tigres
Sept. 25th: vs Rouyn-Noranda Huskies
L 4-2 - 0G, 1A, -2
Sept. 27th: @ Shawinigan Cataractes
L 5-0 - 0G, 0A, -3
Sept. 29th: @ Blainville-Boisbriand Armada
L 5-4 - 1G, 2A, -1
Abramov had his first big game of the season in a losing battle against the Armada. The Tigres still haven’t gotten a win yet, starting the season 0-5.
#33 Zachary Bouthillier (G) - 48sv, 54sh, .889sv%
Saint John Sea Dogs
Sept 28th: @ Cape Breton Eagles
L 6-5 - 48sv, 54sh, .889sv%
Sept 29th: @ Cape Breton Eagles
L 8-3 - Did Not Play
Speaking of bad QMJHL teams, it’s the Saint John Sea Dogs! Bouthillier only played one game this weekend, but got in two games worth of shots. He did his best, making 48 saves, but that effort wasn’t enough as the Sea Dogs blew a 5-0 lead.
USHL
Mike Koster
Tri-City Storm?
The Storm began their season at the DICK’S Sporting Goods Fall Classic in Pittsburgh, dropping both games. However, the real story is Koster missing from the roster for those games.
There’s no mention of his absence on the team website, but he’s still listed on the roster. It’s probably nothing. Probably.
NCAA

Ohio State Buckeyes
The Buckeyes play an exhibition game against Western University on Sunday, the first NCAA opponent is Western Michigan, on October 11th.
Nicholas Abruzzese (C)

This weekend the Black Bears play Providence on Saturday, then they host the University of New Brunswick on Sunday.
