Hello Toronto Maple Leafs fans! I’m here with a real quick recap of the junior and college hockey prospects’ weekends. It’s going to be very quick and bare bones because I hurt my back and I can’t sit here and type very long. Pray for seldo everyone.
Ontario Hockey League

ROBBY x 2! @nickrob2001 makes it look easy and finishes the play from @semder009 and @kirky_1424 🇬🇧. It's now 5-3 for the Maroon and White!#GoPetesGo pic.twitter.com/P9yHEFODuI

The dynamic duo pile on the stats once again. Six points for SDA, seven for Robertson. Semyon is third in OHL scoring, with 14 points and Robertson is fifth with 13. The 2018 OHL first round pick Quinton Byfield leads the league with 16 - and he’s available in the draft this fall.
Kalle Loponen (D) - 0G, 2A, +2
Sudbury Wolves - 5-2-0-0
Oct. 4th vs Peterborough Petes
W 9-6 - 0G, 2A, +1
Oct. 5th @ Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds
W 4-3 - 0G, 0A, +1
The Wolves were perfect this weekend, even shutting down the Petes by scoring nine goals to offset the high scoring Leafs prospects. And hey, Loponen got two assists!
Western Hockey League
#18 - Riley Stotts (C) - 0G, 1A
Calgary Hitmen - 4-0-1-0
Oct. 6th vs Portland Winterhawks
W 5-2 - 0G, 1A
Stotts was a point per game this week with, well, one assist in the Hitmen’s only game, which keeps him at a season point per game pace with five in five.
#18 - Filip Kral (D) - 0G, 3A
Spokane Chiefs - 3-2-1-0
Oct. 4th vs Seattle Thunderbirds
W 5-1 - 0G, 1A, +1
Oct. 5th @ Tri-Cty Americans
W 7-1 - 0G, 1A, +1
Oct. 6th vs Everett Silvertips
L 4-3 - 0G, 1A, -2
Kral was a boon to the score sheet this week, helping set up one goal in each game, moving his overall total to four points in the past six games.
#33 - Ian Scott (G)
Prince Albert Raiders - 4-0-2-0
Ian Scott has not be assigned to a team yet as he is still listed as injured. He may be sent to the ECHL Newfoundland Growlers when ready to play.
Quebec Major Junior Hockey League
#9 - Mikhail Abramov (C/RW) - 3G, 1A, +2
Victoriaville Tigres - 2-4-0-2
Oct. 2nd @ Baie-Comeau Drakkar
W 6-2 - 3G, 1A, +3
Oct. 4th vs Gatineau Olympiques
W 2-1 - No Points
Oct. 6th vs Rimouski Oceanic
L 4-1 - 0G, 0A, -1
The Tigres won! Abramov had four points! It was a miracle weekend!
Of course it ended with this:
Après un contact avec un joueur de l'Océanic, Mikhail Abramov demeure au sol de long moment. Il retraite finalement au banc par ses propres moyens. #LHJMQ
— Matthew Vachon (@MatthewVachon_) October 6, 2019
“After contact with an Océanic player, Mikhail Abramov remains on the ground for a long time. He finally retreats to the bench on his own.”
No more news after this, so I assume he’ll be alright to play this week.
#33 Zachary Bouthillier (G) - 68sv, 75sh, .907sv%
Saint John Sea Dogs - 3-4-0-0
Oct. 3rd @ Charlottetown Islanders
L 5-1 - 36sv, 41sh, .878sv%
Oct. 5th vs Acadie-Bathurst Titan
W 4-2 - 32sv, 34sh, .941sv%
Oct. 6th vs Quebec Rempats
L 7-5 - Did Not Play
Bouthillier had one of the better weekends he’s had since joining the Sea Dogs. It’s still wasn’t great, but hey they won a game!
USHL
Michael Koster (D)
Tri-City Storm
Koster still didn’t show up on the Storms game sheets this weekend. I’m going to bother the team about it.
NCAA
Ryan O’Connell (D)
Ohio State Buckeyes
Season begins October 11th.
Nicholas Abruzzese (C)
Harvard Crimson
Season begins November 1st.
#14 - JD Greenway (D) - 0G, 0A, -2
Maine Black Bears
Conference: 0-1
Oct. 5th @ Providence
L 7-0 - 0G, 0A, -2
Oct. 6th vs U. New Brunswick
L 5-0 - No Points
The Black Bears were terrible when we had Nolan Vesey to watch, and now that Greenway is there, the Black Bears are still terrible.
Alright folks, I’m heading to the wilds of Quebec for Thanksgiving weekend. Surprisingly I won’t be too far from Quebec City, so if I can get to the Remparts/Tigres game, drop some Q’s for Abramov in the comments.
