Another year of prospect games has begun, and that means I’m back to give you some scores and highlights when anyone does anything particularly interesting.
They didn’t this week, sorry.
BUT everyone returned from camp and made their season debuts, except for Sean Durzi who was just returned to Owen Sound.
Some good news to start off with is that Ian Scott was named the WHL & CHL goaltender of the week! From WHL.ca:
Scott, who was selected in the fourth round, 110th overall, by the Toronto Maple Leafs at the 2017 NHL Draft, posted a pair of wins while also maintaining a 2.00 goals-against-average, and stopping 63 of 67 shots for a 0.940 save percentage as the Raiders moved to 5-0-0-0 on the season.
Some bad news also. Fedor Gordeev was given a match penalty for a slewfoot in his first game of the season, which meant he had to sit out the next days game as well. Not a great start for Gordeev.
Filip Kral is injured at the moment and hasn’t played a game yet. He’s listed as day to day.
