The start of the season has been wonderful all around for the Toronto Maple Leafs organization. First, there was Auston Matthews; then, there was Kasperi Kapanen; now, there’s Jeremy Bracco.
The OHL season has been going on a little longer than the NHL and AHL, which sees Bracco already up to six goals and 17 points in just six games. In this week alone, he scored four goals and 13 points in four games.
That is... a lot of points, and not a lot of games. Bracco is currently third in league scoring, but the guys ahead of him have played more games. It’s not out of the question to see Bracco overtake them sometime soon, especially if he keeps playing like this.
Bracco is on pace for 193 points over a full 68-game season. That’s probably not going to happen, but definitely keep an eye on him throughout the year. Especially because he’ll be eligible to go pro next season - and there might not be too much left for him to do in the OHL by the time he’s done this year.
Maybe before then, at this rate.
