The One Hundred list started with rankings from a 3o-member committee, with the 31st set of rankings the results of a public fan vote.
There were 191 of 949 eligible players who received at least one vote, and ten different players received at least one first-place vote from the committee.
The official list starts at number 100 with James van Riemsdyk, the only current member of the team on the list and continues on up to number 1 and Dave Keon.

Along the way are Dion Phaneuf at #88, Phil Kessel at #48, Wendel Clark at #15 and Börje Salming at #8. There are men who trophies are named for, and there are men who now cover the game on television. There are tough guys and sweet shooters and fantastic goalies. There are players from all over the world, players from the past, and players who hit the ice today for practice, and there is at least one who has been immortalized in song. They are all Maple Leafs.
