There’s a lot to enjoy here, especially in terms of vocalizations (refs make some really weird noises, it turns out!) but my favorite part has to be the one referee untucking Nino Niederreiter’s jersey for him. It’s full-service refereeing at the World Championships, apparently.
On the other side of the Atlantic, the NHL playoffs are grinding onwards to their inevitable conclusion: an offseason of one insufferable fanbase and 30 disappointed ones. Last night, the Vegas Golden Knights took one step closer to four months of rubbing victory in our faces, beating the Winnipeg Jets 4-2 to take a 2-1 series lead.
