Labour Day has come and gone and now we turn our attention away from prospect lists and what if scenarios and focus on things that are actually happening.
The rookie tournament is this weekend in Laval, Quebec. The Maple Leafs first game is Saturday against the Ottawa Senators rookies, then it closes out with a game against the Montreal Canadiens on Sunday afternoon.
Four days later the Maple Leafs camp invitees will gather at the Mastercard Centre for physical testing and photos before heading to Niagara Falls for the start of training camp. There’s plenty to do there for fans. You can get tickets to watch the events each morning and an Alumni game is happening as well. You can find all of your ticketing info here.
Before you ask, no William Nylander hasn’t signed his contract yet and that’s fine. Most big RFA’s don’t sign before camp so we’re right on schedule.
