Before we get to the ex-Leafs, the big news from yesterday was the surprise announcement from the Bruins that Tuuka Rask has decided to opt-out of continuing to play, effective immediately. There’s all kinds of takes on this, but, really, there’s no need for any. He made a decision he believed was in his best interests, and that’s all that we need to know about it.
