While scrolling through twitter this morning I saw this in my timeline:
Auston Matthews has changed agencies to join @OrrHockeyGroup. Right before negotiations on his second contract are open to begin with Leafs on July 1. Same agency Connor McDavid is with.

Interesting news eh? This sounds like Auston Matthews is making a power move to increase the negotiating skill on his side of the table when the Leafs want to talk extension.
Or, I mean, it could just be this:
It is a little inside baseball, but: Judd Moldaver, who worked closely with Auston Matthews, moved to Orr Hockey/Wasserman, which just joined forces. Matthews is going with him. Too early to say what that will mean for negotiations with TOR...

So his agent switched agencies, and Matthews still has the same guy representing him. Always follow more than one person on twitter.

Lou really took a hatchet to the Islanders front office, eh? It’s about time and hopefully this puts them in a rebuilding move and Tavares finally decides to hit free agency.
