The Marlies completed the sweep of the Cleveland Monsters last night, putting them in position to move on to the Eastern Conference Final in the Calder Cup Playoffs. Their next opponent will be either the Charlotte Checkers or the Hershey Bears. The Checkers are leading that series 3-0.

There was more elimination hockey last night, with a Game 7 played between the Blues and the Stars and the Blues came out on top in double OT thanks to a really messy goal.
There will be another elimination game tonight between the Sharks and Avalanche. The Conference Finals start on Thursday with the Bruins facing the Hurricanes.
