Kyle Dubas are starting to close in on their team for next year, covering everything but the big dog (Mitchell Marner). They’ve reportedly agreed to terms with Kasperi Kapanen on a three-year deal, traded Patrick Marleau to the Carolina Hurricanes, and have now reportedly agreed to an extension with Andreas Johnsson for four years at a cap hit between $3.25 million and $3.5 million according to a report from the draft floor:
Leafs closing in on 4 year extension with Andreas Johnsson. Likely between $3.25 mil and $3.5 AAV.

UPDATED: The numbers are in on a deal with RFA Kasperi Kapanen
Maple Leafs trade Patrick Marleau to Carolina
Johnsson shot 15.4% this season on 130 shots, scoring 20 goals. He also put up 23 assists (13 primary assists) playing on all four lines. His 5v5 impact was good, 54% shot attempts, 51% shots, 54% scoring chances. Four years takes Johnsson from his age-25 season (November birthdate) through to his age-28 season, also known as his late prime. The contract buys one of Johnsson’s UFA seasons as well.
Here are some takes from the PPP staff and from around Twitter:
Pleased with the Kappy and Johnsson deals. Certainly not ridiculous steals, but they’re fair for both parties in my opinion. Mentally, I was targeting $6.5m combined on 3 year deals for each, and they’re coming in around that amount (with an extra year for AJ).

Getting both Kappy and AJ on contracts that are both longer than 2 years is v nice. I feel like Johnsson's especially could look real great as early as next season.

Leafs locked up Johnsson and Kapanen for just over the cost of one (1) Marleau
