It’s Christmas Eve (EDIT: now it’s Christmas Day!), which means it’s a time of giving, a time of being together with our loved ones, and a time of miracles.

That’s probably why the Leafs felt like giving us all heart attacks together before pulling out a miracle win yesterday afternoon. Now, we have to wait a few days for the next game as we run through the holidays.

From everyone here at PPP, we hope you enjoy your holiday break. Whether you are spending time with your family, your friends, your pets, or anything in between, I hope you get to eat all the food, watch all the holiday movies, and recharge all your batteries.

This community has given us all a lot, usually in the form of sports therapy. From the memes, the daily threads about nothing, the venting and bitching about the Leafs and hockey media and the league’s new controversy.

It does mean a lot to me, personally, to have this community in my life. It gives a lot to me, and I think that’s the case for a lot of people here.

Have a great holiday everyone!

Maple Leafs’ win over Hurricanes through the eyes of a nine-year-old | by Luke Fox at Sportsnet.ca

Some roster weirdness before the game yesterday, with Trevor Moore listed as unavailable for the game and Jeremy Bracco being recalled from the Marlies. We got this update after the game:

‘I do have a chip on my shoulder’: Leafs prospect Nick Robertson’s journey has him on cusp of world juniors | by Sean Fitz-Gerald at The Athletic.

Speaking of N Rob, as we suspected Nick Robertson made the final roster cut for Team USA for the upcoming World Junior Championship.

Probably because he kept doing stuff like this:

Leafs prospect Mikko Kokkonen also made the cut for Team Finland’s roster.

AROUND THE HOCKEY WORLD

The NHL rule enforcement strategy is basically to cut a chicken’s head off and see where on the decision board it ultimately dies on.

Tom Wilson and Brad Marchand enter, hopefully neither of them leave!

Future Arizona Coyote for meh prospect, Brent Seabrook.

This is my shocked face.
