Toronto Maple Leafs at Montreal Canadiens
Time: 7:00PM
Location: The city that once had it all, then chased it out of town to Toronto
Broadcast/Streaming: CBC, Sportsnet, TVA Sports
Opponent SBNation Site: Eyes on the Prize (the prize is the draft lottery)
This is the final game of the regular season for both of these teams, but both of their futures are already set. After tonight the Maple Leafs will prepare to face the Boston Bruins in the playoffs, most likely starting on Thursday night. A time for revenge against the Boston Bruins who defeated them in seven games at the start of last years playoffs.
The Montreal Canadiens will pack their stuff tomorrow, say their goodbyes, then begin their extra long summer vacation as management sits in their offices and prays, prays hard that a miracle occurs and the team with the worst odds jumps all the way to #1 overall in the draft lottery Tuesday night.

Considering that’s four of the Leafs’ top six defencemen out, make your own guesses at what the pairings will look like. Kristen Shilton did so here:
This would be peak fun #Leafs D tonight:

It’ll be some combination of that

The lines are completely in flux at this point, given this game pales in significance next to rest and recovery.
