Toronto Maple Leafs free agent rumours.
Sounds like TOR has interest in Stanley Cup champion Ron Hainsey.

Sure, why not? He’s a classic third pair guy, and he’s better at shot suppression than Roman Polak. He’s maybe a touch less good at offence than Matt Hunwick, who is thought to be going to Vancouver. If the Leafs want a veteran D, he’s fine as long as you don’t confuse him for a top pairing guy. You can see by his chart that Carolina overplayed him in ice time a bit.
Rangers, Blue Jackets and Leafs believed to be among the teams on Kovalchuk's wish list... not sure Toronto has any interest though...

Not necessarily Vancouver for Matt Hunwick:
Michigan native Matt Hunwick has narrowed options down to two teams. Maple Leafs out at this point.

An unexpected rumour of a different sort:
It won't likely happen today, but #Leafs will be signing F Dominic Toninato, 2012 pick + 4-yr college grad on clock for UFA status in Aug.

Patrick Marleau is down to about four teams. It sounds like the #leafs remain in the mix.

90 minutes into free agency:
I believe it's fair to say TOR made a major push to get both Marleau and Thornton. May still be in on Marleau.
