Okay, I lied yesterday, this one incredibly short.
#67 - Robert Svehla (2002-2003)
Stats: 82GP - 7G - 38A - 45Pts - 46PM
Awards: N/A
Traded to Toronto in the off season by the Panthers for Dmitry Yushkevich, Svehla is only one of two Leafs to wear the cursed number. And cursed it was as he retired after this season!
The other 67: Brandon Kozun (2014-2015)
Kozun played 20 games for the Leafs in 14/15 then went to the KHL. He had a great season in Russia, but, come on. I told you it was cursed!
Who was the best #67 for the Maple Leafs
Robert Svehla | 135 |
Brandon Kozun | 78 |
Ban the number | 242 |
#63 - Dave Bolland
Stats: 23GP - 8G - 4A - 12Pts - 24PM
Awards: N/A
Brought over from the Stanley Cup winning Blackhawks for picks, Bolland played just a few games before suffering a severed tendon on his ankle that I can’t even think about because it makes me squirm. He totalled 23 games as a Leaf, but that was enough to make him a high profile UFA, signing a 5 year $27.5 million deal with the Panthers. And yes, the Leafs were competing for his services, because grart. He played 78 games for the Panthers and is basically LTIR cap filler now for whichever team needs some help getting to the floor.
I’m sorry gang, these past two were terrible, I swear we have some really great players coming up.
Thanks to Hockey-Reference.com as always.
