Last night the Toronto Maple Leafs got outplayed, pretty badly. Not a lot of players not-named Mitch Marner looked very good through the whole game, but thanks to Cam Ward the Leafs pulled off the OT win over the Carolina Hurricanes.
BONUS! The Blues held on to beat the Islanders, so the Leafs jump ahead of them for the last playoff spot.
Unfortunately, Bozak really seems to not be healthy but we don’t really have any clear idea of what it might be, nor will the Leafs say anything. The lack of centre depth is something we all Fehred would bite us...
Also unfortunately, the Lightning won again and are hot since the trade deadline. The Bruins beat the Flyers to stay ahead of the Leafs. Things are starting to tighten up.
Leafs are now on pace for 93 points. A 24 point improvement over last year. Would be most for franchise since 2004. Should be enough.

No prediction Mirtle has made RE: The Leafs’ playoff chances has ever gone awry, right?
[Breathes deeply into paper bag]
Onto the links!
Predicting the future of the Maple Leafs by KatyaKnappe is using math and numbers in a way even I can understand!
On swapping Soshnikov and Hyman by Arvind is a good look at the season-long issue (to some) of whether or not (#) should be on Matthews’ wing or not. What’s that? Oh. I’ve just been told that Katya didn’t actually write this, Arvind did. Gonna have the PPP fact checkers look into this one because that doesn’t sound right at all...
2017 NHL Draft: So you want to draft Juuso Valimaki.... by Eukardios is a bit old in terms of when it was posted, but I just saw it now and it’s a good read for a potentially under the radar pick to target is concerned. SISU!
Toronto Marlies Week in Review: March 4-11 by MLHS and.... it’s hard to feel all that upBibeau’t about them after the last two games.
Marlies defenceman Andrew Nielsen’s journey from tyke sniper to top Leafs prospect by David Alter at The Athletic is a nice little look at one of the Leafs’ top defensive prospects.
Poor Aaron Ekblad can’t catch a break. This is his second for sure concussion in his young career, maybe third if his World Cup injury was not “whiplash” as the team claimed.
#FlaPanthers' Aaron Ekblad left the game and won't return after taking an elbow to the head from Gabriel Dumont. https://t.co/u1Oudhgj1T pic.twitter.com/P5S3yfH68s

In Ottawa Denver, the most important thing that happened was a new Swedish Ship being christened.

Lastly, there’s a new goalie prospect around that some people say is a real a real hot dog but I think could be a real wiener.
