Saturday night the Toronto Maple Leafs honoured the 1963 Stanley Cup champions in this year's homecoming game. The ceremony was nice although I'm not sure the Maple Leafs' official tire sponsor Bridgestone will be happy with how poorly a couple of the cars handled on the ice. The crew did a good job of fixing the ice before the game started.

This is the team that any observer will say is the best Leafs' team ever. It was the last one to finish first in the NHL and it cruised through the playoffs winning both series by four games to one. They first dispatched the auld enemy Montreal Canadiens before helping contribute to the Red Wings' decades-long Cup-drought. The China Wall Johnny Bower was stupendous in the playoff run while the best Leaf-in-exile Dave Keon potted a pair of shorthanded goals in the clinching game.

You can watch the end of game four below including a goal by Red Kelly.
