Alex Steeves is a Leaf for another year after signing a deal yesterday that gives him a guaranteed minimum salary no matter how much time he spends with the Marlies instead of the Leafs.

That leaves one name left on the RFA list, Nick Robertson. Technically, there's some others but they are playing in Europe or the KHL and aren't coming back next season anyway.

What the Leafs are going to do with Robertson is still up in the air with his public demand to be traded. Leafs training camp is still about five weeks away, but it will be interesting to see if he shows up at those "unofficial" skates that start up in September. He doesn't really have much leverage here and I wouldn't be surprised if he eventually signs and then they trade him later in the season when he's the right piece to add to a deal.
