The stars clashed in the PWHL last night – literally. Here's Marie-Philip Poulin absolutely smashing Taylor Heise in the midst of an intense game between Montreal and Minnesota. Montreal beat Minnesota 2-1 on the road, with Tereza Vanišová scoring two points. Minnesota out-shot Montreal 45-26, furthering the PDO-bending the league is kicking themselves off with.

Heise sort of unintentionally retaliated after.

Sandee Astrom made history in Thunder Bay at the age of 11 when she joined the North End Blazers minor hockey team. The officials eventually kicked her off the team, but this story between her and her coach was really sweet.
The always-forgettable bi-annual Leafs-Jets game was another snooze-fest. I-don't-know-why-I-used-so-many-hyphens. Nick Robertson had a strong game, so we'll see if he can keep it up.
Ilya Samsonov tried giving the belt to Auston Matthews. Matthews wouldn’t accept and gave it right back to him.

The London police will be having a press conference on February 5th – notably after the NHL All-Star weekend – to update their investigation.
We understand that there is significant public interest in relation to a sexual assault investigation dating back to 2018. We anticipate that the LPS will hold a press conference on Monday, February 5, 2024, to share further details. https://t.co/MiPrgRNg8m #ldnont pic.twitter.com/1fxbF0iGfz

Here's some takeaways from last night's CHL top prospects game.

Welcome to hockey, Bloomington Bisons! Apparently that's an Abe Lincoln-inspired top hat?

The NHL will be hosting a ball hockey tournament at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in partnership with Pride Tape, presumably to wash away their homophobic policies on inclusive team events. I hope the participants, which include the Toronto Gay Hockey Association, have lots of fun, and you all have a chance to go.
