Boston College and the NHLPA are setting up a program that would make it easier for players to complete their degrees during or after hockey. They are partnering with BC's advanced studies program that offers flexible routes to certificates and degrees. A former Marlie is already in the program!

"Josh Jooris, who played three years at Union College before earning his first NHL contract with the Calgary Flames, is currently enrolled. Brooks Orpik, who played three years for the Eagles before an NHL career in which he won two Stanley Cup championships with the Pittsburgh Penguins, returned to school after he retired and earned his degree in 2022."

The NHLPA agreement with BC comes the same week as the Major League Baseball Players Association announced a similar deal with Syracuse.

Here's what the Leafs and the eight other "contenders" need before the trade deadline.

"The Capitals have been the surprise of the season, and they should be engraving coach Spencer Carbery's name on the Jack Adams Award now, if they haven't already."

oh no, the kiss of death.
