There’s still another three days until the Marlies play again. We’ve been visiting them at Ricoh Coliseum this week to chat at practice about what happened in the last series, and what is to come. We will have a preview of their next series against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms for you soon.
Wednesday is also a day off for teams at the IIHF World Hockey Championship. The quarterfinals begin tomorrow. Latvia made it through to the quarterfinals by knocking out Denmark, and our beloved Frederik Andersen, in a 1-0 victory yesterday.
Canada will face Russia tomorrow. Needless to say, facing Russia so early is a high risk moment in the tournament but should be pretty fun to watch. If they win, Canada would next play the winner of the Finland vs. Switzerland game.
