CIS
The Montreal Carabins beat the UBC Thunderbirds 8-0 to take the CIS title this weekend. The Province had a story on the Thunderbirds' remarkable development over the past four seasons. A little too big to embed, but the CBC has the final few moments of the game online.

The Frozen Four ended with the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers defeating the Boston College Eagles to win the national title. Our own Baseball Annie was in attendance and shared a great recap.
While the game itself seems to have been pretty awesome, the tv coverage is being tape-delayed by a full week. On the upside, if you wanted to watch it on TV, you still have that chance! Also, this happened:

IIHF
The IIHF Ice Hockey Women's Challenge Cup of Asia is underway. It runs until March 26. The event is for teams not in the World Championship system, and allows lower ranked teams a chance to compete and grow the sport.
This year's women's event is in Taipei City, the capital of Taiwan.
There are six countries represented: India, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and the host nation, Taiwan.
In the opening day's action, Singapore beat India 8-1 and Malaysia lost to Thailand 14-2. The scores are lopsided, but it was a historic day with both India and Malaysia playing their first ever international games.

NWHL
To say that the NWHL has had an interesting week and a half since the Isobel Cup would be a massive understatement. Kate Cimini covered allegations regarding the league's financial woes in Today's Slapshot. Stanley Cup of Chowdah's Kat Hemming and Erin Bartuska countered that the situation was normal for a young startup.
The first annual NWHL awards were announced via social media prior to the NCAA national championship game. All of the awards went to members of the Boston Pride. Melissa Kania of the Victory Press explores why.
Along the Boards has a look at some of the officials who were on the ice for the inaugural NWHL season.
Kate Cimini discusses the effects of the financial disparity between players with national team support versus regular league players.
Today's Slapshot featured an interview with the Beauts' Hayley Williams and a piece on Liudmila Belyakova's future with the Riveters.

And finally, Caroline Ouellette wrote a short piece about supporting girls in hockey for the Huffington Post.
