Right about now I will probably be in a folding chair outside of Scallywags waiting to get in to cheer England on as they seek to get past the old enemy Germany. I think Scallywags was far enough from yesterday's troubles to have escaped unscathed. If Britannia rules the field maybe we'll wrap some scarves around our face and march over to The Musket (Germany). Odds are we'd be more harshly dealt with than yesterday's protestors. Anyway, the best piece was written by Junior (presumably he typed up Spouse's thought but did an exceedingly good job of transcribing them):
I am saddened and ashamed by the events I have seen on the television screen today. Canada is a place that should tolerate a lively and spirited debate about our diverging political views. It is also a place where unassuming people who go to work and try to provide for their families can do so without having damage inflicted upon their homes, businesses, streets and vehicles. It is a place where we all should be free to roam in our public places without fear of confrontation and mob violence.Heroes in Rehab: the blog " The G-20 Summit: A Lament for Sanity
