The Leafs next game is Tuesday, giving them two days off to rest up. The time has not been confirmed yet, but we'll likely know that soon.

There will be no Game 3 in the Marlies series today. They were ousted in the first round by the Cleveland Monsters.

We will likely see some of the Marlies called up to the Leafs, including Matt Murray, but the Leafs are playing a serious game aiming for the long term, so I don't think you're going to see overloaded practices or some random guy getting in the lineup.

The Sceptres lost yesterday, so they still haven't clinched their playoff spot. New York is now eliminated with two games to play, making that complex Gold drafting business seem more trouble that its worth until they have more teams.

Yesterday Tampa trounced the Panthers to make that series 2-1 Florida. Vegas won in overtime over the Wild to tie that series at two-all. The Stars and the Avalanche were the late start, and the Avs won to tie that series at two-all as well.

In other news, I think this is a Marlies game from a few years back:

Monday, the trophies and various awards finalists will start to be announced. The Vezina is first.

The draft lottery won't be this week, more likely the start of next week.

Every series is the NHL first round is still going on, so today is a full slate of games, complete with football-esque start times. Jets and Blues begin it all at 1 PM, and if you are into the Habs vs Caps, that's a 6:30 start. No one can be eliminated today.

That's it for a lazy Sunday – which is my plan for the day.
