It was a comeback win from the Leafs in Tampa Bay. Matt Knies brought the buds back with two goals in the third, sandwiched by goals from William Nylander in the first and John Tavares in overtime (though at first I thought it was Nylander off Kucherov). The Leafs were utterly dominant on the shot map, 52-33, including five shots to zero in overtime.
On the Marlies, Nick Robertson was targeted with a high hit way after the puck was gone. He was fine and played the next shift, but it's a good chance to address the narrativization that is the phrase "injury prone."
Veeti Miettinen tapped in a rebound to stay a PPG in the NCAA.
Hudson Malinoski banshee screamed for the puck like a 12-year-old, got it, and scored on the power play.
Travis Dermott was seen using Pride Tape last night. Brian Burke has said he will pay the fines for any NHL player who uses the "outlawed" Pride Tape.
LOLOILERS
The Jets* won the game, meaning the Oilers have fallen to 1-3-1 on the year.
"The Newfoundland Growlers are shaking up their ownership structure. Deacon Sports will retain primary ownership of the ECHL franchise, but it’s partnering with owners of teams in other leagues to form an umbrella shareholder group."
19-year-old goalie, Mathis Rousseau, scored in the QMJHL on Friday night!!!!!!!!!!!!! GRABUGE!!!!
